Notice under Rule 10.8.2 of the Listing Rules of the New Zealand Stock

Thompson Jewell and Douglas Ellenor, two directors of Austral Pacific Energy
Ltd. (in receivership) have resigned from the Board of Directors of the
Company, Mr Jewell with effect from 18 May 2009, and Dr Ellenor with effect
from 12 May 2009. The Board of Directors now comprises Peter Hill, David
Newman, Peter Hazledine and Bernhard Zinkhofer.
Derek Gardiner, the company''s Chief Financial Officer, resigned with effect
from 30 April 2009.
