Announcement
The Dividend Rate on the ASB Capital Perpetual Preference Shares of 6.73%
announced earlier today is for the period 17 November 2008 to 15 November
2009 and is equal to the Benchmark Rate on 17 November 2008, plus the Margin
of 1.3% per annum (adjusted to an equivalent quarterly rate). References to
November 2007 in our announcement earlier today were erroneous.
